About ICAST-FST 2026

The 2nd International Conference on Applied Science and Technology, or ICAST-FST 2026, is an international academic forum organized by the Faculty of Science and Technology, Universitas Islam Negeri Raden Fatah Palembang, Indonesia. Under the theme “Advancing Science and Digital Innovation for a Sustainable and Inclusive Future,” the conference will be held on September 15, 2026 in a hybrid format, bringing together researchers, academics, students, industry professionals, institutional representatives, and international partners to exchange ideas and strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration.

ICAST-FST 2026 welcomes original and high-quality research in information systems, artificial intelligence, data science, digital transformation, health and biomedical sciences, environmental sustainability, green technology, renewable energy, and related interdisciplinary fields. Authors and participants are invited to present their work, gain valuable academic feedback, expand professional networks, and contribute to innovative solutions for a more sustainable and inclusive future.

Minister-Counsellor for Human Development and Humanitarian, Australian Embassy, Jakarta (Indonesia)

Mr Stapleton is Minister-Counsellor (Economic, Infrastructure and Investment) at the Australian Embassy, Jakarta. He has held senior roles negotiating the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Agreement, Trade in Services Agreement, Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and Australia-Singapore Digital Economy Agreement. Tim has served at several Australian embassies, including in Baghdad and Dili. He joined the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) from the private sector in 2006.

Professor Syafiie has extensive academic and research experience in process control, systems engineering, machine learning, data-driven dynamic modelling, advanced controller design, and applied optimization. His work spans chemical process systems, energy systems, robotics, and biomedical applications.

Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana, India

Assistant Professor Lonare has made significant contributions to the fields of veterinary pharmacology, veterinary toxicology, ecotoxicology, and genotoxicology. His research has advanced scientific understanding of environmental pollutants, oxidative stress, toxicological risk assessment, and sustainable approaches to animal and environmental health.

Universiti Teknologi MARA Selangor (UCS), Puncak Alam Campus, Selangor, Malaysia

Associate Professor Dr. Yuslina Zakaria has extensive academic and research experience in digital health, bioinformatics, big data analytics, text mining, machine learning, and network pharmacology. Her work spans predictive modelling of adverse drug reactions, tuberculosis and medication safety, biomedical and multi-omics data analysis, mobile health applications, pharmaceutical management, and data-driven approaches to improving public health and clinical decision-making.

Khalifa University Abu Dhabi, UAE

Professor Hadi Susanto has extensive academic and research experience in applied mathematics, particularly in nonlinear waves, dynamical systems, partial differential equations, and applied analysis. His work spans mathematical modelling, machine learning for dynamical systems, nonlinear optical and quantum systems, orbit propagation, metamaterials, climate-related environmental modelling, and infectious-disease modelling, including the development of mathematical simulations for COVID-19 policy support in Indonesia.

The online submission system officially opens. Authors may begin submitting their original research papers through the ICAST-FST 2026 submission platform.

Full Paper Submission Deadline

September 12, 2026

This is the final date for authors to submit their full papers for review and consideration for presentation at ICAST-FST 2026.

Registration Payment Deadline

September 14, 2026

All accepted authors and registered participants must complete the required registration payment by this date to confirm their participation in the conference.

Conference Date

September 15, 2026

ICAST-FST 2026 will be held in a hybrid format, allowing participants to attend onsite at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang or join online through Zoom Meeting.

Final Paper Submission

October 15, 2026

Authors must submit the final revised version of their papers after incorporating reviewers’ comments and complying with the required conference paper format.
